Overall, the watch is in excellent condition. Dial and hands are in excellent condition. Both retain the original radium. The gilt dial has a strong brilliance, typical of the Movados and the 40s. It shows avantgarde radium numerals, an outer tachymeter scale, serpentine 1h chronograph counter hand. The beautiful, extremely rare watch case with three steps appears to be unpolished, in very good condition. The chronograph starts, stops and resets to zero smoothly. The watch was just fully serviced by our watchmaker, thus in perfect running condition, keeping accurate time. (275°: +2s/d). This is without any doubt an investment grade collectors piece. The watch comes from a private estate in Italy. Fresh to the market, extremely rare with black gilt dial, as most reference 19005 show a silvered dial.
