Overall the watch is in excellent condition. The original dial is in outstanding condition, showing a beautiful, even brown tropical patina. The watch case appears unpolished, showing the original cut with clearly visible chamfers and thick lugs. The watch was just serviced by our watchmaker, running with a high amplitude keeping very accurate time. (290°; +5s/d). The watch comes from a collector in Germany. A rare and beautiful timepiece in investment grade condition.

The Zenith 143-6 is one of the more misunderstood military chronographs because there is no single feature that definitively separates a “military-issued” watch from a civilian one. Much depends on provenance and serial number. This one fits the commonly accepted serial number range.
