The bezel is in excellent condition. The recently serviced watch is in excellent running condition, keeping very accurate time (305°; +2s/d). 1. All original MK1 Ploprof divers are quite rare, and this is an perfect, no regret example of the reference.
An exceptionally early and completely original Omega Seamaster 166.077 Ploprof Mk1, coming directly from the grandson of the original owner. The original owner was a dedicated Omega collector and purchased the watch new at the time. What makes this particular Ploprof especially interesting is its semi-prototype configuration. It features a prototype case with reverse reference print (comex case) together with an original overprint prototype dial. The term “overprint” refers to prototype dials that were returned to Omega after the model had entered production and were subsequently overprinted with the additional “PROFESSIONAL” and “600” markings, allowing these early prototype watches to enter the retail market. The watch carries an exceptionally early serial number, believed to be in the 31.2 million range, placing it among the very first examples sold publicly.
