Overall, the watch is in mint condition. The numerals on the dial show thick luminous mass – common for hanhart pilot watches and definitely correct. Both dial and hands appear to be filled with original radium, responding to the Geiger counter well. The watch case is absolutely unpolished with very sharp edges. The watch was just serviced by our watchmaker, and remains in excellent running condition, keeping accurate time. (340°; +5s/d). The watch was acquired from the original owner’s son here in Germany.
Only a handful of these white dial examples have resurfaced. To be exact, my research finds 3 watches excluding the example at hand. None in the condition this chronograph is in. Certainly, one of the rarest military watches. The Hanhart ‘Admiral’ was issued to doctors and naval officers only, in very low quantities.
